Lake Shore's
craftsmanship begins with our people: their talent, dedication
and experience. We have learned to make the finest cabinet-maker
quality pieces for the outdoors by utilizing classical
woodworking and boat building techniques, and adapting
them to the manufacture
of our products. And Lake Shore craftsmen combine old world
quality with the new, working with up to the minute CAD
design tools and the most state-of-the-art epoxies, glues
and finishes.
Our
ornamental iron fences gates and accessories utilize high
quality design, workmanship and materials. All iron is
carefully prime painted and finish coated with powder
coating, electrostatic
painting or standard high quality metal paint. Using new
or historical designs, Lake Shore supplies iron products
that add a classy or classical look to any home or business
with
unmatched durability.

Woods utilized by Lake Shore are primarily cedar or special
hardwoods such as Ipe. Ipe (pronounced “ee-pay”)
is used extensively by us for decking and other products
because of its beauty and durability. This richly colored
Brazilian hardwood looks and weathers like teak, is so
hard you can’t drive a nail into it, is Class A fire
rated (the same fire rating as concrete and steel) and
if you toss it into water, don’t expect a life preserver—it
sinks! On most rooftops, Ipe panels fasten to
our proprietary LeveLoc™ framing system
to assure a level deck despite the ups and downs of a typical
high rise roof
